Sizing Guide (Updated)
How to select the right size brace?
It is recommended that brace fitting and adjustment be carried out by a suitable healthcare provider or through your local POD Active dealer.
A list of POD Active dealers can be found here.
NOTE: Due to varying shapes, knee measurements should only be used as a guide when determining the correct brace size.
1. KNEE WIDTH
Measure across the centre of the knee using the POD Sizing Tool. Take measurements in a weight bearing position at full extension (i.e. with leg fully straight).
2. KNEE CIRCUMFERENCE
Measure the circumference of the knee directly underneath the kneecap using a soft tape measure or string. Take measurements in a weight bearing position at full extension (i.e. with leg fully straight).
Walk and bend your leg to aid the brace in settling. The brace should feel comfortably snug.

The brace is worn in direct contact with the skin or with a knee brace specific thin sock or stocking. Do NOT wear the brace over jeans, sporting attire or thick garments.
Ensure you have the correct size and left / right configured knee brace for intended application.
Sit down to put on or take-off the POD knee brace.
Step 1:Unfasten all straps by releasing the Strap Ends on the lateral/outer side of the brace, and pulling the Strap Ends through the Strap Loops.
Step 2:With your knee bent at a 90° angle, place the brace over the knee so that the hinge is located against the side of the knee joint.
Step 3:Fit the Lower Strap #1 (directly below the knee) first, as this strap is located above the calf muscle and aids in the correct position of the brace. Pass the Strap End through the Strap Loops ensuring the strap is flat against your leg, tighten until snug and comfortable, and then fasten the Strap End.
Steps 4:Repeat for the Upper Strap #2 (directly above the knee), Top Strap #3 and the Bottom Strap #4. NOTE:
When positioned correctly the hinges will be centred on the knee and your leg will move freely. Re-apply the brace if this is not the case.

Step 5:Remove the brace by repeating Step 1. NOTE:
Do not over tighten or cross the straps. If you experience any pain or discomfort while fitting or using this brace, you should discontinue use immediately and consult your healthcare provider. If the brace causes discomfort on application or during use, repeat steps 3 to 4 to refit the brace with adjusted strap tension/placement.
